News and Events from Ghana

Years ago, Arab traders were crossing Sahara in order to reach to present-day Ghana and trade for gold. They were the ones who gave its name the “Land of Gold”, which is still quite popular today. The gold trade helped to establish Ghana among others and due to the vast resources, back then it became a very prosperous and powerful place. Many years have passed, but interestingly enough, our country is still widely known by that same nickname.

And now we would like to welcome everyone eager to find out more about Ghana, the events that are taking place in the country and any news concerning us. Whether you are a fellow Ghanaian or you just have an upcoming visit to Ghana, you will be able to find some useful information on our pages. Constantly trying to cover all kinds of news and events happening here, and pretty much everything that has somewhat a connection to our everyday life. We would also like to provide news about travelling to and from Ghana, or anything going on in different cities and locations around the country.

What is the Purpose of this Blog

Our goal is to share knowledge, ideas and news with all of the people, wishing to stay tuned to the matters connecting yesterday, today and tomorrow, and that are concerning all of us. We trust that knowledge is power and that any piece of information could have the potential to benefit someone in some way. This is why we would like to share everything with you, being small or big – it does not matter to us and we do not look at it in that way, because we know that one thing might be of value to some, while something else to another. We would like to be a source of news that everybody enjoys and goes to, a place where everybody knows that they would always be able to find something of interest for themselves and that is on a regular basis.

At the same time, we would also try to keep it fresh and without taking things too seriously, unless of course, the matter concerned is something of more of a serious nature. Every now and then we would like to share with you some creative ideas, inspirations, leisure activities, suggestions, and anything that comes to mind, as we like to have our fun too.

For example, there are so many places one can visit in the large piece of land we Ghanaian people share that some of them are simply breathtaking and that is being felt not only by us that were born here but also by our visitors. In that sense, we would be happy to share some news about good places to go to for exploration and different ideas and recommendations.

The Ghanaian culture is so rich and we must always preserve it and try to share some of our knowledge with each other, as this is our heritage. It is important to stay connected to our roots and never forget where we came from and our history in time. We do find great inspiration from it and we believe it to be interesting to share with all of you and in articles about our culture, art, music, museums, history and more. As we mentioned earlier, there will be something for everyone and we truly hope that you will find it interesting too!
