Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo has been conferred with the title ‘engineer’ by the Ghana Institution of Engineers and Technology after he officially outdoored his newest four-wheeled Kantanka brand, Kantanka Nkumimdie V8.
The ceremony took place during the annual technology exhibition by Apostle Kwadwo Safo at the Apostle Safo School of Arts and Sciences at Awoshie in Accra on December 28.
Many dignitaries, including the Minister of Trade and Industries, Ekwow Spio-Garbrah and a number of parliamentarians from both the Minority and Majority sides graced the occasion.
The event was also used to outdoor an incubator manufactured by Apostle Safo as well as other military equipment.
Speaking at the event, Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo said if given the legal and financial support he would lead the technological transformation of the country.
According to him, he has been able to produce engines, television sets, military equipment, dynamite and many other inventions.
He explained that he was ready to do mass production of his new brand of cars for sale locally and abroad.
According to him, his new cars only run on batteries and do not need fuel or engine which is a unique invention.
The Minister for Trade and Industry, Ekwow Spio-Grabrah assured Apostle Kwadwo Safo of government’s support in line with its policy to encourage the consumption of made-in-Ghana goods.
He said financial and other support will be extended to Apostle Kwadwo Safo.
Dr Vladimir Antwi-Danso of the University of Ghana called on the government and the leadership of parliament to buy Apostle Kwadwo Safo’s cars for government business.
