The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has fined Premier League champions Asante Kotoko a total of GH¢11,000 for three cases of misconduct.

SuperSport.com can confirm that Kotoko was fined GH¢5000 after the DC found some basis in the accusation that Berekum Chelsea official Oduro Safo was physically assaulted at half time when both teams met in a Premier League match on December 14 2011 in Kumasi.

A copy of the judgment seen by SuperSport fines the reds 3000 cedis ($15000). This was for referee Joseph Lamptey’s alleged manhandling by Kotoko fans at half time during the same game.

There is also a 3000 Ghana cedi ($15000) fine after Kotoko fans damaged equipment that was being used by OMP, the league’s rights holders, after the match.

Kotoko insiders have told SuperSport.com that an appeal is forthcoming.
