Hitz Fm Launches New Frequency

Hundreds of music fans and radio listeners last Sunday, July 1, thronged the P.H Hotel at East Legon, Accra, to participate in a special pool side party organized by Hitz FM to officially launch its new frequency.

Hitz FM, one of Ghana’s most listened-to entertainment stations, at the launch rolled out strategic programmes for its listeners as part of its frequency modulation change. Listeners can now tune in to 103.9 mhz instead of 103.7 to enjoy the numerous programmes the station has introduced.

The changeover, which was necessitated by the directive of the National Communications Authority, formed part of the stations drive to run entertaining, informed and educative programmes to meet the changing expectations of listeners.
The station will soon partner some selected shopping malls and fuel stations across the country to reward loyal listeners.

According to its Programmes Manager, DJ Black, the station conducted research to find out the needs of listeners and to fashion out programmes that would meet their expectations.

He said about 40-75 percent of the expectations of regular listeners had been met.

The station paraded some of the popular young artistes as side attraction to outdoor the new frequency and listeners were given the opportunity to interact live with the DJs and other staff of the station.
