Residents of Hohoe in the Volta Region have expressed satisfaction at the further review of the dusk to dawn curfew imposed on the town two weeks ago.
The Interior Ministry, through the recommendation of the Volta Regional Security Council has reviewed the curfew from 12 midnight to 5 am.
Some residents have said the review will help revive businesses in Hohoe.
Meanwhile, the Regional Security Council has expressed uncertainty as to when the curfew would be permanently lifted.
According to the Volta Regional Minister, Henry Ford Kamel, his outfit will continue to monitor the situation before a decision will be taken.
“When we feel it is appropriate to completely do away with the curfew, we will take that decision,” the Minister said.
Life is, however, gradually returning to normal in the Hohoe township.
