Koforidua is expected to be rocked on Sunday, July 1, by Ghana’s finest highlife musicians Daasebre Dwamena and Abrantie Amakye Dede.

The event, which forms part of activities lined up to celebrate Ghana’s Republic Day, is being organised to promote highlife music as well as entertain music fans.

Patrons who visit the Capital View Hotel on Sunday July 1 will witness live performances from seasoned highlife musicians Daasebre Dwamena and Abrantie Amakye Dede.

The two musicians, according to the organizers, would set the entire venue agog with fun and excitement with their music and dancing skills. They would treat patrons to unforgettable live musical performances.

Abrantie Amakye Dede and Daasebre, who have carved niches for themselves in the Ghanaian music industry, have remained faithful to music lovers and have a large repertoire that can entertain fans for hours.

The Republic Day Concert, according to the organisers, is going to be the biggest and most authentic highlife musical concert that will bring together families, individuals and lovers of highlife to celebrate genuine Ghanaian live band music.

The organizers told BEATWAVES that Abrantie and Daasebre would give music fans a surprise package and extraordinary performances on the night.

Amakye Dede, who will perform most of his favourites, has promised to put on the best show ever as he takes patrons down memory lane with songs like ‘Iron Boy’, ‘Bebrebe’, and ‘Su Fre Wo Nyame’,  ‘Akonoba’, amongst others.

From 6:00pm, when the band strikes the first key note, patrons are guaranteed a session of “serious” dance. Music fans can now look forward to a night of quality entertainment on Republic Day at the Capital View.
