Gyedu Blay Ambolley
Nana Gyedu Blay Ambolley last Thursday launched his much-awaited musical album, ‘Sekunde’ at the Alliance Francaise in Accra.
The album is a cool blend of jazz, highlife and soul, which reveals Ambolley’s highly optimistic style which has swayed audiences in various countries around the world.
The CD is full of danceable beats as well as a distinctive mix of rhythms and beats. Undeniably, the general arrangement showcases the expertise and experience of this internationally acclaimed musician.
At the launch, he proved to Ghanaians as well as music fans that he was still fresh and could deliver when called upon to perform at any event.
The afro-pop star won the hearts of the entire audience with his exquisite stagecraft and singing ability to the extent that some kept asking for more even when his time was over.
The event also attracted a number of important personalities including stakeholders in the music industry.
For one-and-a-half hours, Ambolley held the audience spellbound with his brand of music but more than anything, his electrifying stage craft and dancing skills kept the audience on their feet throughout his performance on stage.
Every music lover at the album launch was simply in tune with his household songs.
Music fans who made it to the event will have many fond memories from the show.
Ambolley’s repertoire was most impressive, a mixture of hit songs from his latest album, the 90’s through to 2009.
Undisputedly the original king of afro rap, Gyedu Blay Ambolley is back again, and as usual, he is ready to keep you singing along all the way to the dance floor.
