Alfred Woyome quits as board chairman of NBSSI

TIME FOR TEARS! Alfred Woyome

The man at the centre of the controversial GhC51 million judgment debt, Alfred Woyome, has quit as Board Chairman of the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI).

Speaking to Citi News on Friday, Kwame Tawiah, the special aide of the embattled NDC financier, said his boss took the decision to pave way for smooth investigations into controversies surrounding how he was awarded one of the biggest judgment debts in a poor nation like Ghana.

“The best thing he can do for now is to resign so the court can determine the merit of the matter,” Tawiah said. “It was a wise decision he took with his lawyers and it’s a leadership decision. If false allegations are being leveled against you then one has to step aside. ”
